What Are Broken Capillaries?
Aside from airbrushed photographs of celebrities, the “perfect skin” is hard to achieve. However, some of us feel particularly self-conscious about our skin, especially if we have scars, blemishes and other skin conditions. Vascular lesions (often referred to as broken capillaries) are red in colour and caused by abnormal clusters of blood vessels. A wide range of Vascular lesions such as rosacea etc. can be treated safely and effectively.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is a treatment option for those who want to reduce the appearance of scars and blemishes, including acne scars, rosacea, port wine stains, sun damage, age spots and other blemishes with no down time so you can resume the daily routine.

Before the treatment, we will apply a cold gel to the area that will be treated. We will then deliver a pulse of light to the target area. IPL/ Laser is a selective pulsed light energy that precisely absorbed by the target areas, without damaging the patients skin. selectively heating and closing off blood vessels, IPL reduces the lesions, whilst sparing any nearby tissue from injury.

Dr Beatriz Molina is the founder and medical director of Medikas Ltd. She is a fellow of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and a Key Opinion Leader for Galderma Global, teaching and lecturing around the world.
