Aesthetic clinics win top award for excellence

Medikas, the aesthetic specialists with clinics in Bristol and Somerset, have been named the Best in the South of England at a glittering awards ceremony at the weekend.

Medikas was first established 10 years ago by Dr Beatriz Molina. Her first boutique clinic was opened in Street, Somerset, in 2007 and won her first award for Best UK Clinic, in 2009.

Dr Molina is known internationally as a leading practitioner in the world of aesthetic medicine for her injecting skills, training and publications.

In 2014, Medikas opened it’s flagship clinic in Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol. Dr Molina is medically trained doctors and experts in many aesthetic procedures including thread lifts, dermal fillers, lasers, chemical peels and anti-wrinkle treatments.

They are also at the forefront of a national campaign in the aesthetic sector to raise standards and to promote best practice, Save Face. Its aim is to stamp out bad practice and reduce the risk of ‘botch jobs’ for people seeking non-invasive cosmetic procedures.

Medikas’s work was recognised at the weekend’s annual Aesthetic Awards held at the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster Bridge, London. Judged by a panel of experts, the clinic was named as the best in the south of England due to its:

  • Excellence in customer service
  • Exceptional treatment of clients
  • Strong positive feedback from clients who had received treatment

Dr Molina said: “We’re excited to have won this prestigious award, it’s fantastic for us, and for our team, to be recognised in this way as we work hard to maintain very high standards, caring for our clients and ensuring they have the best and safest treatment with us.

It was not the only award won by Dr Molina on the night. As vice president of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM), she was also one of the team which received the award for Association/Industry Body of the year for its role in promoting best practice in the sector.
